Yep it defo has a whiff of the Sir Keir Starmers about it. But that’s the point I think - these “things” are clearly above the law.
Why do we think that might be?

Riccardo Calafiori has reached an agreement on personal terms with Arsenal.
Magalhaes and Saliba is a pretty solid pairing - wonder if they view Calafiori as a depth option or if they'll view him as a left-back and be 3-at-the-back in the possession phase.
Also wonder if anyone (including us) makes an attempt at discovering the details of the personal terms and matching/bettering them like we did to Tottenham with Luis Diaz.
Arsenal have had a 47m euro (£40m) offer for Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori rejected by Bologna, who want at least 50m euros (£42m). Chelsea are also interested in the 22-year-old. (Corriere dello Sport - in Italian)

F-ing laughable the whole thing. Chelsea have spent nigh on a billion and half in the last 3 transfer markers and still involved in huge transfer talks. some iffy business going on here. considering we are one of the richest clubs in the world and we have to follow a certain set of rules. that other clubs manage to skirt around.
