Williams also seems to be a bit of a different character than the above and will expect Salah wages from the off.

Not saying we shouldn’t go for up and coming Latin talent but we know where they want to end up and Williams thinks that should be his next move by all accounts.

Look at Diaz, hasn’t exactly set the Prem on fire but he’s desperate to get to Barca. Let him go I say.

If we had a choice between Gordon and Williams, although Williams appears the better prospect (albeit from performances in and for Spain) I would go for Gordon.

    Just my opinion.

Really not sure about that at all miller. Coutinho yes… but the others…? How does opinion bridge the fact that:

Suarez was the main man (certainly one of alongside Forlan) for Uruguay in 2010 and had been a regular for years before we signed him. Mascherano had been an Argentina international for 3 or 4 years and Alonso was a fully fledged Spain international with plenty of suitors

I think 19 is right to suggest we must be looking at Williams. If not - why the fook not?

That is to say - yes - I do see the point you are making miller but surely IF you can bag the better talent and have their services for a few seasons while they try to raise their profile & get a move to their hero club… It’s still a win win?

We need the funds that a player like that can generate operating in side of this uber restrictive model.

Seems a no brainer to me - but I am not running the bank.

Our list of 25-or-unders is quite lengthy - 25 of them. Loads of them won't "make it" here but there is definitely some tidy-up in terms of squad pruning needing done - loans, sales, contract extensions and hopefully a high-quality addition or two.

Timing of the Euros and Copa America is frustrating - Slot doesn't have the longest time period to look at some of these lads before the season starts.

    Trent - 1998
    Mac Allister - 1998
    Kelleher - 1998

International football is always a pain regarding the club but the flip side is perhaps Slot will have a closer look at the kids than he would otherwise have done before the big star seniors arrive.

I think its very easy to set unrealistic expectations on kids who show a glimmer of talent, last season several kids shone and exceeded every bodies expectations. Playing football at the highest level is hard enough, but lets remember Liverpool are one of best teams in World football and to break into the first team squad at a young age you have to be an absolute standout performer, a generational talent like a Fowler, Owen, Gerrard etc so not making it at Liverpool your boyhood club is not a failure, its just that the bar has to be set so high if Liverpool wish to remain as a top Club in World football.

Being at Liverpool at such a young age certainly gives them all the best chance of becoming fully fledged top fight players at some point down the road…

I am not too sure we have seen enough of these kids to convince us yet that any of them have a long term future at the Club, but I guess only time will tell. You only have to look at development Conor Bradley achieved after going on loan to Bolton, as now this boy really does look like the real deal, so there really is genuine hope for all of them.

However, there is an awful lot of work and growth required by all them if they are ever going to realise their ultimate dreams… lets keep all our fingers crossed for them.

I count 18 on that list who are either already regulars in the first team squad or getting very close to it.

They're looking at Ali Express, apparently he's a bargain.
