If we're really lucky and hold out long enough - we might just find the elusive one.
You know..... the one that can play on the right, the left, in a back 4 or 3 - through the middle and fill in as wide man that shunts inside as a false 7 - 8 - 9 and 10..
'Got to be in it to win it.'
Oh yea... There was once a guy who could do this...
Super clarity - defo deserves full screen...enjoy.
Even on a wet Wednesday?
I'll maintain my right to be stupid, ta
It wouldn't be a signing I'd make top priority - I'd personally be after specialists for the starting XI as massive priority over generalists for the squad - but at £33m (not a lot in the current market) and with the age profile/potential I wouldn't see it ruled out as an opportunistic purchase. As to whether it pushes Bradley out, that depends entirely on how you rotate and make use of your subs.
A right-wing-back who can cover both the right-back and right-sided forward positions can start plenty of matches in either position (coming off 65th-75th minute for some) and can also come on as the sub for those last 15-25 minutes. It also buys you some protection against the frankly ridiculous amount of football lads are being asked to play AND given the age (23) you're starting to bed in someone who can (potentially, granted) be the back-up on the right (many fans want a right-sided forward) and be around as/when Salah departs, by which time they will have developed further.
Plus it facilitates Slot having the option of Trent in midfield, though that's not something I'm pushing for - I prefer him as an attack-minded right-back.
Also if it did indeed push Bradley out, that might be in the form of a loan, which brings him back stronger if it's the right one.
Plus we can't rule out that Trent decides not to extend his contract, in which case we'd be glad we'd bought a right-wing-back.
Nah phillips is going to play right-wing back when trent leaves, we've got it covered.

we are liverpool football club, not fucking norwich.
I'd add this little article (maybe a 3-minute read) suggests a player that could be used as a right-sided forward with coaching -
https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/player-analysis-jeremie-frimpong/
- and I would also add that he got 9 goals in 31 League appearances as a right-wing-back.
If he came in as cover/apprentice for Salah's positions with the capacity to cover at right-back I think we could do way worse - £33m for a young player whose value won't plummet if it doesn't work out, who is Dutch, who is Home-grown, who can potentially cover two positions and who can further develop - I'm not at all against the idea.
First priority signing? Absolutely not. Potentially a clever piece of opportunistic transfer business? Just maybe.
Probably won't come to us, rendering this chat moot - but I could get behind it.
