    The price will be overinflated but people will say the same with the Ibe and Brewster deals we did a few years back.
    Yeah, but this is City...

    I don't think it quite works like to be fair that once you factor in the £40m lump sum that his Dad got for negotiating the deal, or the (unconfirmed, admittedly) £865,000 per-week wage bonuses for good goal-scoring and appearance rate (nearly £45m per-year) to be honest.

    Excellent business in the sale of Alvarez (especially if legitimate...) yes - but I don't think anything associated with the Haaland deal is a sound metric for comparison.

    Fabrizio Romano
    @FabrizioRomano
    Chelsea have all set with Samu Omorodion to join the club on seven year contract, valid until June 2031.

    Personal terms agreed and Atlético to receive £35m fee, as revealed yesterday.

    Green light only when Atlético will complete all final steps for Julián Álvarez.

    Reportedly 20%, presumably of the profit on the £19m Bournemouth paid, so about £9m I think

    Hasn't played for us in five and a half seasons, but (potentially - nothing confirmed) his sale could cover 17% of a fee for a midfielder that could take us up another level.

    Sell-on clauses can be really useful at times.

    That’s what happens with a manager like Klopp. Look what we got for Luis Suarez with Rodgers in Situ.

    This is where reality will dawn unless Slot can hit the ground running. He has to emerge able to walk in those shoes
