I hear we would have to pay the whole fee for Zubimendi up front and this massive spending will have implications regarding FFP unless we raise some monies somehow... I wonder if we will budge on our £8m evaluation of Nat Phillips.
Yet Chelsea have spent 200 million i believe under the new manager?
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
Would be a tidy little move that.
Huge credit must go to Jürgen and the rest of the staff for the position they have left us in. There's talent, potential, depth and youth through most of the squad, with no huge need for major reconstructive surgery of the first XI - more a case of 2-3 quality additions lifting the most regularly used 11-18 player group up another notch.
We're going to see young players that "make it" here or are sold on for decent fees, which contributes to funding the talent required to further our improvement whilst still adhering to PSR/FFP.
By the time the Summer is done we'll likely have recouped £60m+ for younger/fringe lads who have hardly played for us and it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that we may manage to conduct similar business next Summer to further supplement it - plus loans happening for players to better their development, which we will (hopefully) benefit from, either through their rising to enough prominence to play for us, or become good enough for a sale we profit from.
There will be the usual critique of how we generate our funds no doubt, but Arne must be pinching himself at the situation he has walked into when you consider the clusterf**k rebuild jobs that 90+% of managers have to walk into and try to fix - we on the other hand just need to trim a little fat and add a couple of quality lads to future-proof us further and (crucially) improve the first XI a little bit more.
Big John is a total Cunt of a man
did you come up with that all by yourself Or is it de rigueur for the inbred?
