Weren’t wrong though were they those Catalans - Stirred it all up.

Like I told my lad who was in bits at the time. He will end up at Barca - they want him and he wants them. Only surprise was how long it took.

    Funny old game 😜

Don't know if anyone can see this article. it's a Liverpool Echo article decrying the atmosphere at Anfield, and the lack of availability (and price) of tickets for watching us.
Day trippers and ageing of the season ticket holders are quoted as the main reasons for the subdued atmosphere.
Can't disagree with the article - I find it next to impossible to get hold of tickets.
    Interesting read.

It’s a very watered down article. Touches on the wider truths but stops well short. Almost certainly due to Echo not wanting any sniff of a gripe at the Liverpool city council or more importantly - billionaire US owners.

The diabolical infrastructure in and around L4 gets a single line - and the over commercialisation (Americanisation) of the game gets another….when both of these 2 factors account for the vast majority of the problems at the so called “redeveloped” Anfield.

Choosing to put much of the blame on the earth shattering phenomenon that people get older

Plenty of young out of town’ers people from Scandinavia and inter continental - sitting on a padded seat waiting for HT - just to get in and get their laughing gear around a chocolate eclair and another glass of wine.

The Kop isn’t the major problem - it’s them other stands that have led the way - Klopp even made a stand against it in the cup game v the Hammers..

I have to admit to being actually there that night - and in that very stand. I can tell you - me and my lad were screaming our hearts out but most were silent. Some even looking at us as though we should be less excitable.
