The "point" is that you care passionately enough about the subject (and the club) to want to do something about it, I imagine.

So if it means that much to you and you feel vindicated in your stance, you absolutely should. At times I have felt "what's the point" in life when it comes to these things. I was part of the organisation of an anti-knife march when a pal of mine was killed and we held a sort of a wake as part of it within a large public park. To my utter dismay, a row broke out at one stage and someone pulled a knife during it. Thankfully a gesture of "hard man" nonsense and no actual stabbing occured at the event, but you can imagine how low I and others felt - BUT if you are passionate about something, my broad advice is you have to try, even if it feels like it's against the odds. I will never forget how hopeless that incident made me feel - someone pulling a knife at an anti-knife event just felt horrendous and stabbings occur in every major city in the World on a regular basis - but that doesn't for a second reduce the idea in my mind that if you care and if you can find a way, you have to try.

Much as I (broadly) am behind a lot of FSG's ideology (data analytics, risk assessment, sensible wage structure, not jumping straight into "new and shiny") it doesn't mean for a second I wouldn't respect someone else's opinion on a subject. If you care, which you clearly do, I would say "shit or get off the pot" - I'm not intending to be a dick when I say that, though I am sure it will seem that way because we disagree on the odd thing and sometimes a bit of pithy comment sarcasm can come into it - but actions speak louder than words.

You have the right (last I checked, I know the Tories were clamping down on things, alarmingly) to protest or attempt to organise a protest if you feel that passionately about things and have a long enough list of reasons to do so.

I personally wouldn't be showing up (because it wouldn't reflect my stance) but I'd ABSOLUTELY support your right to do so - and that of any other Red. I

If you want to ask "what's the point" though, I'll happily hold a mirror up to it and ask "what's the point" in complaining about the club for the best part of a decade on one of the smaller LFC forums when you could use a bigger platform to get your message across, or do something more practical/quantifiable about those who you feel are milking the club? YouTube is there, Instagram is there, Twitter is there, Facebook is there and of course the capacity for a physical, linked arms, walk-down-streets protest is there.

Perhaps it's a case "can't someone else do it?" - which I totally understand if you have circumstances in your life that hold you back - maybe you're a carer, or a busy father of three, or have a mental health issue etc - all of those I'd say "ah, fair enough" to - but if you can find the time to complain on here, for years, then I think you can find the time to send a few emails to the right people - and if the owners are truly the leeches on the club you seem to think they are, then you could take pride in having played a small part in getting new custodians in, rather than simply adding to a very small echo chamber on here.

You don't have to carry the microphone. You don't have to hold a banner. You don't have to chain yourself to anything.

Send a few emails. See where it takes you. If you e-mail the right people it will definitely take you further than saying stuff on a very small internet forum.

Might not be my cause, I might not back it, but I'd certainly champion your right to do so - more power to you as far as I'm concerned - but if you don't send any emails to anyone and simply continue with the anti-FSG stuff within this tiny corner of the internet for another 2-3 years, I will certainly ask "what's the point?" in that.

‘reaching out’ a fine Americanism there Sid.

Another fine display of the passive aggressive coming into play by a few in here who always seem more concerned with criticism of the owner.

Not that I am saying you and a few others are plants - but the whiff is definitely there Sid

To be fair to Sid, he's been on here well before FSG took over.

Indeed very strange people defend them.

    It's pretty fucking obvious

And my point is i'm not going to make much difference am I? and even if fans did protest....... you think it would change anything? remember this is FSG, look what they've done in history covid times.... kenny etc etc I just hope they realise if they can't compete or keep up with other clubs they need to sell before value of the club goes down due to poor performances

You might not - but surely better to try and perhaps fail than not to try at all.

Will saying "FSG out" and complaining about their tenure regularly in here change anything?

Yes. You are right. I joined here in November of 2009 having lurked for a year or so first in an attempt to ensure I had open gates should FSG lay siege to the club with their trebuchets I . October of 2010. I have incredible foresight. It's how I predicted Borini scoring a goal and celebrating with his knife-in-mouth celebration being misinterpreted after Suarez's handball incident.

My interest in birds is purely down to them being Government drones and I have been using them to spy on you all.

The 4-and-a-half-hour YouTube documentary about the day I was outed is coming and the thumbnail will have a red circle around an Illuminati symbol, with the title in capital letters to garner clicks.

    I have been outed.

But a ship awaits me. This will be the day that you remember that you ALMOST caught Captain Jack Sparrow.

(Or, alternatively, none of the above)

    Hmm..

The old good ship 'passive aggressive' changing course a little and heading into into ultra defensive waters - via the straits of sarcasm.

Like you I can say my thoughts, especially the situation this window

I'm allowed, and I know quite a few people on here feel the same, even if you don't.

It's a way of letting it out, I can post what I want and I suggest if you don't like it, don't even take the time to reply or better yet use the ignore button , you might like it how it is but one of the few people that do. Do you like american football?

Especially at the moment when the season hasn't started yet.

I'm sorry Kin-JON-Sid but I'll say what I want within reason, thank you for your time.

P.S does saying anything here contribute to anything? shall we all just stop posting and call it a day? you know when we comment on players, matches- doesn't matter does it? what a waste of time lads, cancel the forum, cancel the internet, this means more.

Yes but the wiffers would rather you kept it to yourself Kev.

I say this - IF what you are saying is counter to the wider narrative - and the most consistent voices supporting that narrative want to shut you down... you are probably very close to the truth

Not that you want to end up like Snowden or Assange but - stranger things have happened - even on a football forum
