Can’t blame Gomez if he wants to leave. He’s 27 now and will always be backup here. The best move for him is to join a club where he’ll be first choice and play as much football as possible in the years he has left.

It would be absolute madness to let such a versatile English defender go. If we got £30m for him what the hell are we getting in to replace him for £30m ??

And that would be around £74m brought in from sales this summer with not a penny spent on well scouted recruits by way of well negotiated deals.

I don't think the club rate him at centre back.. and we have cover in the full back areas. I agree we need a centre back..we only have 3.. be mental to go into a new season with only 3 senior centre back. stinks of de-ja vu. I think we'll sign one before the end of the window.

Is not enough, depth and quality, if we have to start quansah for long periods, i think he's great but not good enough yet and needs to be a lot stronger & better in the air if we want to go places, konate is good but started to get injured quite a bit, VVD is obviously awesome but not getting younger.
