Was funny on that show with Rafa. Carra asked Rafa why he went to Everton. Neville immediately asked Carra why he went to LFC (he was an Everton fan). That shut him up.

VOTE JOCKY tae fix this fiasco.
Really, I thought they were keeping us on the back foot for long periods in the latter stages of the first half, without really threatening our goal, Thomas Frank in his post match appeared to agree, but hey ho its no big deal, we won and thats all that really matters.
I would suggest against Ipswich we played really well and dominated the game for about 35-40mins in the second half, today I thought we had a good start for about 20mins and and a similar second half to last week, so that dominating for 60mins in this game, is in my book positive progress, hopefully next Sunday we can dominate even more of the game and add another vital three points to what is a promising start…
Fingers crossed eh…
Yup. Decent is how I’d describe it. In the latter stages of the first half we couldn’t keep the ball. Second half was much better.
I’m not a fan of making 3 substitutions at the same time. It’s the kind of thing you see in preseason. Thankfully the game was safe by then.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!
Liverpool had full control
Carra was an all heart, no brains defender...
Also fair play to diaz, he was good and not shit !!!!!
Hopefully he keeps it up, more performances like that this season please matey.
I had taken that totally different, aka it being about the financial outlay (Matip wasn't a £40m purchase) rather than the quality of the player.
We had a minus net spend I think for 16/17 - it was around £70m on bringing players in with £80m or so being sold. I took it to mean that Jürgen wasn't backed with a big budget to begin with.
Compare that to our last 4 summers (prior to this one) where I think our net spend was approaching £230m - that would average out at +£57m or so net spend each Summer. We didn't spend it as evenly as that of course - bigger spends and smaller ones - but certainly an improvement on a -£10m spend.
