Beating the same team, Lichtenstein, who they beat last time.
To prompt the San Marino supporters to break out in a chorus of “can we play you every decade”

Legendary former Liverpool captain Ron Yeats has died aged 86.

Described as a ‘colossus’ by manager Bill Shankly, Yeats suffered with Alzheimers in recent years before passing away on Friday night.

Yeats was a Scotland international who joined Liverpool in 1961 from Dundee United and became a crucial figure in Shankly’s transformation of the club as they climbed out of the second division.

Obviously was before most of our times. But hear he was a very good captain and leader.

Remember him well. Became a scout for the club if I remember correctly. One incident I cannot get out of my head was when he scored an own goal against Blackpool, toward the end of the season. I was stood in the Annie Road end directly behind the goal. A great captain and leader.

A lot of our lads have played a lot of minutes ahead of us having a match against AC Milan.

    Kelleher played 90 minutes.
    So did Van Dijk.
    So did Tsimikas.
    So did Trent.
    So did Szoboszlai.
    So did Gravenberch.
    Gakpo also played 65-70 minutes.

Hope we see some rotation in relevant spots.

Van Dijk, Trent, Szoboszlai and Gravenberch can't be playing every game super quickly.
