seriously though. hes been suspicions for a while. The fa cup match the semi-final between Chelsea and Man-city. Grealish clearly handled the ball in the box. Thats fine if Oliver thought it wasn't deliberate. But the ball went sideways a distance. so clearly a corner and Oliver just waved it away and acted like ok SO WHAT...
Both calls were incorrect...hes a knobhead.. sad thing is. I actually liked him. I thought he was one of the genuine refs at one point

    Manc115 victimhood deflection:

    From the BBC....

Manchester City have accused the Premier League of being "misleading" over the verdict in its landmark legal case on rules over commercial deals.

City have written to top-flight clubs criticising the league's summary of the case verdict, saying it contains "several inaccuracies".

The letter to the 19 clubs and the league, seen by the BBC, was sent by City’s general counsel Simon Cliff on Monday.

Both sides have claimed victory after the decision of an arbitration panel was published on Monday following a legal challenge by City against the league's associated party transaction (APT) rules.

City, who are owned by the Abu Dhabi-backed City Football Group, had some complaints upheld, with two aspects of the APT rules deemed unlawful by a tribunal.

They have claimed their legal action had "succeeded".

However, the Premier League also welcomed the tribunal's findings, saying it rejected the majority of Manchester City's challenges and "endorsed the overall objectives, framework and decision-making of the APT system".

APTs are aimed at sponsorship deals with companies linked to clubs' owners, ensuring they are of fair market value.

Villa's owner has construction contracts worth massive amounts of money with the Abu Dhabi government, so nobody should be surprised -

Aston Villa back Man City in crucial APT vote and say Premier League ‘critically weakened’

Exclusive: Villa rally behind Manchester City in the intensifying row over associated-party transactions

(Tom Morgan, 19 November 2024 2:21pm GMT, The Telegraph) -

"Aston Villa have rallied behind Manchester City in the intensifying associated-party transaction row and said the Premier League’s ongoing civil war is ‘critically weakening’ English football’s top division.

Telegraph Sport has previously reported how Villa’s ownership has grown increasingly sympathetic towards the Abu Dhabi-owned club’s cause, but a written intervention ahead of the crunch vote is seen by rivals as significant.

Arguments raised by Villa, as the club suggest a 90-day postponement, include fresh potential legal challenges, ongoing uncertainties around the tribunal’s findings and also further changes to the rule book after the introduction of an independent regulator.

In a letter written to Premier League clubs seen by Telegraph Sport, Villa argue that the upcoming vote should be postponed and warned the Premier League will be “weakened” by any further public conflict with City.

They wrote: “It is now abundantly clear that any vote (if passed) will result in immediate further litigation by Manchester City FC and an associated defence by the EPL [English Premier League], incurring material further costs and unnecessary distraction and devotion of time to this issue.

“It is highly likely that the Tribunal will conclude within the coming three months, and that an APT rule that takes into consideration the Tribunal’s verdict will be supported by all clubs and cannot be contested.

“The imminent establishment of the Government’s new Independent Football Regulator (IFR) and its incorporation necessitates now more than ever that clubs within the PL present their cases to the existing regulator collectively as a united front, rather than each club presenting individually conflicting arguments.

“It is time for all EPL club executives and their owners to remember that whilst the clubs are adversaries on the pitch, we are partners in the EPL with a shared goal of increasing the quality of our product, its value and the EPL’s position in Europe.

“Further acrimonious back and forth exchanges that are immediately leaked to the press not only weaken the PL’s leadership and that of its executives, but moreover the PL as an organisation and critically as the custodian of the billions invested in the PL and in English football. This critically weakens the PL as an organisation in front of all its stakeholders, and most importantly the IFR.”

That ups the ante significantly amid simmering hostilities between City and the Premier League, who had attacked each other’s positions ferociously in other letters sent in recent days.

City have written to rivals to tell them they are voting “blind” on amendments to APT rules that remain “void” while a tribunal clarifies a 175-page ruling last month.

The league, however, has sent a lengthy letter dismissing the club’s interpretation of findings and taking particular exception to criticism in a prior letter from City regarding its role as a regulator.

In June, shortly after City’s hearing began against APT rules, Villa’s co-owner Nassef Sawiris admitted his concerns over the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

“The rules do not make sense and are not good for football,” said Sawiris, Egypt’s richest man, in an interview with the Financial Times, adding that the rules are “anti-competitive”.

At a Premier League meeting in June, Villa also failed with a proposal to increase the allowed losses over three years to £135 million.

Current rules stipulate that clubs can lose £105 million over the three-year reporting period and Villa’s argument to increase it by £30 million was voted out."

    - absolute dickheads.

Villa are more than half US Owned - it is the US government keeping the UAE untouchable.

V sports is 66% US Owned. That’s Villa.

City’s are also 20% US owned. The league is more than half owned by US billionaires. It’s time to park the anti Arab sentiment and face reality

Well the US and a the gulf states are allies. Both US and Israel need Saudi and UAE - No way the truth about this comes out - or any major punishment ensues unless one of them pulls rank.

Just look at the makeup of our league clubs. I mean really look. Don’t just skim biased articles - actually see who owns what.

65.5% of Villa is US owned

33.5 % by Edens (joint owner)
32 % (minority stake) by Atairos: An American investment firm

But Villa are standing with their arab Brothers?

City are 20% US owned - a scenario that likely saved them when Uefa had them in the doc bang to rights.

Again - is this Arab brothers sticking together?

The instant the US proxy war in Ukraine started Roman had Chelsea ripped from under him.

But it’s just about money and Arabs.

I swear - one day some of you folks will look back at your ignorance and weep
