Don't think he would do much worse - it feels like they have played the same mind-numbingly dull, look-best-on-counters footie for most of the 11 years it's been since they won the title.
The fact they've assembled a £600m team from Temu to play at the Theatre of Streams (of fan tears) is a joy.
They'll eventually get it right of course by hiring someone who can coach expansive football and doing some decent scouting/recruitment whilst paying out more sensible contracts to keep players hungry - but it isn't happening in a hurry, so long may we enjoy it.
Still - for them to do worse than our 30-year drought we will need to reach 2042 which is still ages away. We managed to win Big Ears twice during our drought - will they?
Not sure who they can hire in the short-term to make Ten Hag's 18/19 (that the right year?) Ajax side a force on the World stage again. They have been very lucky to remain in European comps often enough since Fergie's day to never really "go away" but it will be interesting to monitor given how well some of the other sides in the League are doing. Through one means or another, sides like Tottenham, Brighton, Aston Villa and Newcastle are all becoming increasingly competitive as well as the usual suspects.
