Another ‘ugly’ win. To be fair, we’ve played a hell of a lot of football, especially compared to a team like Palace.

What I’m not seeing, is the control that people spoke about when Slot was announced. Maybe he just doesn’t have the players yet to do that job, but at the moment we seem to give relatively poor teams way too many chances. That being said, Arsenal and City both conceded to Southampton and Fulham respectively.

Also regarding the poor return in front of goal… there are very rarely huge drubbings in the premier league, and we’re always there or thereabouts in the + column.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!

Totally agree and while the goals against column the relatively low return at the other end of the pitch is a concern.
Should easily have been 3-0 today but Jota missed to absolute sitters and his form is a bit of a worry as the big games now start to come thick and fast.

Jota missed a few sitters today which we need him to put away. If he'd of done that the score would've been more realistic.
The main concern now is the injury to Ali. As good as Kelleher is ,I rather we had Ali in goals and I'm sure Chelsea and Arsenal would rather being facing Kelleher.
But it is what it is.
    Top of the league.

Glad the Chelsea game at home is first, sharpen us up for Arsenal away. They’re hardly flying either to be fair, struggled to beat Southampton at home today.

I think our issues are the same as they largely have been over recent seasons, those being that we are far too profligate when we get into good attacking positions, and that we're still too open when we lose the ball.

Our build up is too slow at times and when we lose the ball it often only seems to take a couple of quick passes or a punt upfield for the opposition to end up baring down on our goal.

I think we still need a quality DM and someone in midfield who can chip in with 10-15 league goals and a few assists per season.

True , we'll be at it from the off at home .Get the result we want at home and we go to Arsenal full of confidence.
This maybe were we see the difference between Arne and Jurgen. Jurgen would go hell for leather in both games were as Arne may go a more pragmatic approach especially away at Arsenal.
