In terms of 'value' to the club Trent is 'worth' the most.

We'll get another 6 or 7 years out of him.

And between now and then he will still retain a decent transfer fee should we wish to sell him.

However Trent is the 'easiest' to replace. We'll have a far easier chance of replacing a fullback compared to finding a left-footed right winger or a generational centre half.

Replacing VVD and Mo is going to be virtually impossible whether they leave at the end of this season or in a year or two's time.

We have a world class attacking right back in the team. Replacing him will be just as difficult as replacing Salah or VVD.

There are plenty of stats that us mere mortals don't have easy access to that go into a deeper dive of how a side might be functioning.

I'd absolutely love to see some sort of quantitative data (and have it broken down for me) into how much better-off (or worse off!) we would be by having a high-quality, defensive-minded player in that position under instruction to lock down their side, versus what Trent offers.

That's not to say I think we would be better for having a different player or set-up. I'm just curious about it. How many chances we concede versus how many we create and so on.
