Yes and since spring 1978, Phil Neal has won more European Cups than the self styled 'biggest club in the world'.

Modric has 6 though . Just for comparison like.

Players with most European Cup final wins (all time)

    6 Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid)
    6 Francisco Gento (Real Madrid)
    6 Luka Modrić (Real Madrid)
5 Cristiano Ronaldo (Man United, Real Madrid)
    5 Paolo Maldini (AC Milan)
5 Alfredo Di Stéfano (Real Madrid)
5 José María Zárraga (Real Madrid)
    5 Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
    5 Toni Kroos (Real Madrid)

Must be that low net spend

What a revelation. The team that has won 6 out of the last 10 Champions League competitions and 15 in total, has the most players with winning medals.

    More to follow.

Does anyone believe that this table has no bearing on what these clubs spend. And IF not how in the living fook do 2 pretenders like Chelsea and City even get in the top 20?

then there is this table since 2000 on the Net Spend. See the top 10 again. Remarkable synergy.

Funny response. I posted Britain's most successful manager to an article about

The owners of Manchester United and Liverpool have been told they have something in common - a legendary manager to thank for their club's successes.

There's a thread I have posted a good bit on the subject of spend analysis. I'm not surprised you haven't come up with anything in reply.

Most recently I've pointed to Arteta v Klopp comparison, the performance of Emery at Villa & Carlo at Real.

There's a load of figures there to reply to, a method of analysis based on objective data.

LFC owe a lot to Bob and his 3 European Cups. The first of 4 managers to win it 3 times.

Why do I get the feeling this is as fruitful a convo as talking to Rain Man?

Seriously CC - have a look at your posts on spend mate - see if you can work out why almost nobody would respond. It’s like you’re purposefully making the simple & straightforward- overly complex. That is the behaviour of a fool. Now I’m well aware that you are clearly anything but - so why would you try to do such a wonderful impression of one?

Manchester United have already held talks with several managerial candidates as further pressure mounts on Dutchman Erik ten Hag, with Xavi Hernandez and Sporting Lisbon's Ruben Amorim among them. (Daily Mail), external
