Just listening to Steve Nicol. gave him the benefit of the doubt previously but he seems to be very negative against us. He moans and groans that we are to open at times and concede stupid goals. now hes moaning we are counter attacking You can't have it both ways..I think we are playing it right, you don't need to rip teams to shreds. just do what is needed..

I think that the game today panned out the way it did because of the timing of our goals scored, we were happy to just manage the game and keep it tight at the back, allowing Chelsea to have the ball but always looking at ways of exploiting the spaces behind their press.

I think it was telling that once they scored, we went up a gear and scored almost immediately and then happily managed the game and completely smothered any of Chelsea’s efforts to score, I am not sure Kelleher had any saves to make after we scored so all in all, a very calm handling of a difficult fixture…

Tbf Chelsea had to chase the game whereas we didnt…hey ho bring on Arsenal.. ��

It's what Szoboszlai is providing when we don't have possession that is keeping him in the side at the moment.

That said, I too am very much looking forward to some of the different combinations of players we can try for different games.

4 different trios we can try before we even entertain things like Elliott or Endo - or indeed emergency options for an injury-hit spell (please no...) such as seeing Gakpo utilised in midfield intermittently - though we all hope the relevant lads stay fit enough that this isn't an option we need to explore.

The amount of Chelsea fans on social media saying the ref cost THEM the game and calling us LiVARpool is mind blowing.

VAR got involved twice, cancelling one of our penalties and giving them a goal that had been ruled out for offside

So many clueless one eyed morons out there.
