Gary Neville says lack of clear style cost Dutchman his job as manager
WELL no fucking shit?!?!
Been saying this since the start, jeeze aren't football pundits really clever? especially neville.
Finally got binned, what a shame
2n half years, no improvement money spent and just gone backwards.....
yes might be down to the players but surely the manager has a big part, so i don't buy this "players let him down" yeah they did but..... what's he done, you telling me he's tried to play with a style and they've all just ignored him?
he's improved nothing, utds new signings at the back ain't really helped have they? Hahahaha.
I think Ten Hag has been one of the greatest Utd Managers I have ever seen, I have absolutely loved watching them for the past 2 years, and the fact he has spunked over £623M on some of the best players ever is just brilliant, in fact tbh I couldn’t have chosen any better.
Hopefully Ten Hag will go onto bigger and better things, I hear that Man City might be looking for a new manager soon, fingers crossed the hierarchy at Man City will see sense and realise that Ten Hag truly is the ideal replacement… 🤣
Thanx for the memories Ten Hag, its been a real blast watching your footballers on the pitch and your supporters squirm off it…..
All good things come to an end so, The King is Dead, long Live King Gareth Southgate … 😎😎
Apparently Man Utd are set to sign Amorim on a £8m per season deal.
He has absolutely nothing to gain from that move if it happens - nothing - unless he pulls off a miracle.
His star is rising and he could be the "next big thing" if he manages his career properly.
If he goes to Man United he massively risks jeopardising that and being the next Andre Villas-Boas, who, lest we forget, won a Treble in Portugal.
Don’t worry whoever they get they’ll be a disaster, it’s what the Done’s brought on them for wrecking my life I worked out the other day over the 15 years they incapacitated me with PTSD through brutal workplace discrimination & abuse I’d have made 1.3m at a very conservative effort
And as I also said, they’ve got too many broken players who have collectively wilted & fallen to pieces in games too many times & who’ll keep on doing it
I have a gut instinct that Van Nistelroy might have the tenacity of character to sort out that dressing room, might get them back on track. So if they appoint Amorim quite quickly then that would be better. New league, never managed outside Portugal, only seen the prem from afar. Doesn't know how difficult it is. Not saying he is not a good manager, but it is a bit of a gamble. Will he be a Slot or a Ten Hag?
The thing they desperately need in terms of pulling power and ensuring opportunities to spend (if they ever sort recruiting the "right" players out) is to be in the Champion's League and certainly to be in it more often than not.
I don't particularly foresee them being able to get into it via League position this season without a really good winning streak, but the one glimmer of hope their fans may have would be a Europa League win and subsequent qualification that way - but it's a tricky enough tournament at times. Our side that reached the Final needed every bit of Anfield drama to navigate Dortmund and we couldn't overcome Sevilla, so whilst they have the squad depth to have a very good go at that tournament, it'd be very unwise for their fans to assume they'll just stroll through it.
