Safe to say after VVD and Konate we are very light in the CB department.

Slot won’t have been impressed with what he’s seen of the backups so far

The one thing I'd say is we will have plenty of fixtures, so he will get chances again soon enough - hopefully can get the last 5-10 minutes here and there in games where we are 2-0 up to build him up again.

Through to the quarters! Hopefully avoid the toughest sides as I would rather take them on in the semi-finals if we get that far.

Got the win - wasn’t easy - should have been. Saturday could be really tricky

A wins a win, tough night for Quansah. Tad unfortunate with their second, the first a very poor pass.

We've needed reinforcements in numerous defensive positions but we're yet to address any of them. Instead 'we' bought an injury plagued Italian forward because he was a relatively cheap and low risk signing.

Well, Jarrell is just 21 and signed a 5-year deal not long ago, so he isn't going anywhere in a hurry - and Gomez is a home-grown player who can do centre-back and full-back, so there will be no rush to shift a utility option I'd imagine.

Chelsea out and Villa out is bloody great news.

If Tottenham can somehow hang on tonight we would be laughing.
