We still needed a cb in the summer. Need 2 next summer if virgil leaves. Imagine next summer our cb options could be Konate, gomez and quansah. Terrible position to be in.

Well done Cody, the ship sails on.
Personally , I don't see the squad as the main problem.(of course it IS a problem).
I would like to see more emphasis on our passing and first touch.
To be fair I see the top teams playing the open zonal game, using their superior players.
But I worry when it does not work for us (as above).
I hate it when we panic at the end of games, scrambling and lashing the ball.
So down to Arnie to smooth things out, luck will not last forever.

Agreed - there is a sense of wingin it at the moment.

Strange setup tonight and frankly but for an amazing save things would have been very different.

That’s an injury ravaged Brighton side that had made 8 changes.

To be fair we also made 8 changes and with Quansah and Gomez as a CB pairing we were never keeping a clean sheet though the performance of our third choice keeper was very encouraging

But we aren’t Brighton - would expect us to have significantly superior resources - and if not - then where the hell is all that money going? Also we aren’t in the midst of an injury crisis they have 6 first team players missing.

We have managed some decent results in the last few games but have not been the better side in any of them.

    Yes - some might say that’s a good sign - i don’t

Tbf to Quansah, the first goal was him looking to keep possession and play it forward, but his options were limited, unfortunately he got caught in two minds and was severely punished for it, the second goal was hardly his fault he was just unlucky, 9/10 he clears that shot…but when things are against you that sort of deflection happens…

We won, M City, Villa and Chelsea are all out, so all good, hey ho we will probably draw go and Arsenal away now

Getting the Saints is good, being away to a South coast side is not so good.
