Well to be fair, i reckon scouts for us have a easy job, not like we sign anyone anyway , really

Oh chiesa?!? Oh wow never heard of that name before, 13.5m SIGN HIM i'm sure he didn't take any scouting.

Makes you wonder why we don't bring any possible "superstars" from abroad here, we sign people in England. we just wait for real to snap them up?

This is one aspect of our set-up that I would tweak.

Typically, our data analyst lot like to have a certain amount of data before taking the plunge on a player. The upside of this is that with a good sample size, you have a better assessment for likelihood of success. It doesn't always work out (no strategy is fool-proof) but we get a reasonable amount of hits.

So we will often have someone we look at, have an interest in etc but we don't bid. We instead wait for them to show they can do it in the Portuguese League (or wherever - Premier League in this case) and then end up paying a premium for what is (in theory) a less risk acquisition.

Sometimes I wish we would bite the bullet and just go for it - but we are quite risk-averse.

I also think they do a good job of signing players who have good personal attributes that will enhance the dressing room and its attitude. They seem to put effort into that. Why we stayed away from Bissouma for example.
When was the last time we signed a bellend? Maybe that fullback from westham and his mum. Can't remember his name now.
