Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo scouted by club

Mohamed Salah's Liverpool contract expires at the end of the season, club are preparing by scouting alternatives should he leave, Antoine Semenyo has scored five goals this season and Bryan Mbuemo has eight

Well that's so exciting...... I guess the scouts are actually doing something.... I mean not that they have to go far... or know things we don't

I think I'd prefer to give salah a new contract. Although giving salah a new and contract more players would be the better option.

If we keep hold of Salah (it's the right thing to do so hopefully we push for it and pull it off) any incoming players should, for me, be future-proofing (and ideally simultaneously strengthening) the midfield, left-back or centre-back before we look at forwards.

Depends on the contract. If salah did an extra year then getting say semenyo in as well to serve a year "apprentice" under salah before leaves. Therefore futur proofing as you say.

The squad needs a lot of investment in the next 2 years. Otherwise we will slip way down. 2 cb needed, a left back needed, maybe a right back depending on trent. And midfield. So just the spine needs investment.

Well yeah I was being sarcastic, replacing salah with either of them is a bit of a bummer.

I've liked Semenyo for a while, looked a good player last season but right now he definitely looks like a player who will be going up in levels. I find him similar to Mane.
There's a report on Sky saying we are scouting him and Mbuemo (who also looks very good).
