Your post is also full of double standards. You give managers a pass for being bellends “because they are under pressure”, without accepting that everyone involved in top level sport is under pressure. Players, coaches, managers, refs, the lot. Either they all get to be dickheads when it suits, or none of them do.

As for Coote, he’ll never ref a Liverpool match again. Even though he didn’t say anything about Liverpool. That was his drunken mate. Coote’s issue was with Klopp. Let’s say he had called Mourinho a whining prick instead. Would you still be up in arms and demanding his head?
    Agree.
He's technically done nothing wrong,he's expressed an opinion on someone. It comes a complete disgrace to some fans that Klopp wasn't universally loved by all.
There have been decisions he's been involved with that can be questionable but every fan of every club could have a list as long as their arm about things they feel hard done by. Liverpool are not exclusive to it but some people think they are.

This situation is totally indicative of the toxic social media world we live in. Somebody has to lose their livelihood or career, the governing body or whoever it is have to be seen to make an example of someone. Regardless of wether he hates Liverpool or not he's a person with a family and a life.
It's a fucking awful way to think, to want a person to suffer and to drag them through the mud in public. I personally find it horrid.

    Very well said.

What Coote did was stupid. Who hasn't done something stupid though? He deserves some form of punishment and to be kept far away from Liverpool games. That's enough for me.

I don't tend to watch any other club's games so maybe I'm missing mistakes affecting other clubs. Looking back at LFC games I find it frightening how many referee/official's mistakes have had a negative effect on our club.
Can anyone honestly say that any other title-chasing club has had anywhere near as many refereeing mistakes against them?
Genuine question - I don't know the answer.

Elsewhere, the BBC Sport website is playing it down, saying that everyone in the game is "under pressure".

Fact is, if referees/officials "make mistakes " those "mistakes " can actually end up costing a club's manager their job.

The problem is that Coote is, or possibly was employed to work within an organisation where integrity and the ability to put aside any personal feelings is essential to the success or failure of that organisation and any associated members.

If someone does or says something which raises serious questions as to their integrity and their ability to follow or apply rules, they should be removed from such a position. If someone just worked for a normal run of the mill business and they publicly said they thought their employers and their products were crap, they should be sacked, and rightfully so.

There are times and positions in life where you have to remove any personal feelings or biases when it comes to what you say or do. If you can't do such a thing then you shouldn't be in such a position be it a referee, a doctor, a politician, or even someone who works for an organisation that is meant to be impartial.

Managers lose their jobs because of mistakes they and their players make. The line that refs cost managers their jobs is peddled to fool idiots like you.

In any job gross misconduct means the sack.
If this is investigated properly, and it is false , the record should be put right. Carry on as before.
If he is found guilty (of gross misconduct within the rules) then sack the fucker.
Everyone in a job knows what crossing the line means, particularly if you are on notice.
Stop being woke, everyone should be responsible for their actions.

Does not liking Jurgen Klopp fall under gross misconduct in your book?

Oy knobhead, answer the question. Show us all of the incidents where Man City were robbed of points by poor refereeing decisions.

Come on brains… always jumping in to pick at other’s posts, tell us how many points Manchester City have lost due to incorrect refereeing decisions??
