let me remind you just a few weeks ago or so they lost at home to ac milan 1-3, following a 0-4 barcelona thrashing also the mighty Lille beat them at home, too.
Perhaps it's their reputation that gives me pause, or our last couple of games against them. I hope you're right Kev!

they need it more than us too really but still

the injury list for them, is impressive

Bookies think we'll win too, by the looks of it. i'd be happy with a draw if rotate, if we play strongest 11, I want a win

Real Madrid: Courtois; Valverde, Rudiger, Asencio, Mendy; Guler, Camavinga, Modric, Bellingham; Mbappe, Brahim

Hopefully we finally expose Luka Modric's age.. The geezer is almost 40 FFS.. They are missing a few - so are we..

Liverpool FC Starting XI: Kelleher, Van Dijk, Konate, Diaz, Nunez, Mac Allister, Salah, Jones, Robertson, Gravenberch, Bradley

Liverpool Subs: Jaros, Davies, Gomez, Endo, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Elliott, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Morton.

Liverpool make two changes for tonight’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister return to the starting line-up for the league-phase encounter at Anfield, replacing Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai from the weekend win at Southampton.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is named among the substitutes after recovering from injury.

I would have goce Robertson a rest. He looked way off it at the weekend and we need him now that tsimi is nursing an injury. A lot intense games for him. Good strong line up in fairness. I was hoping for more rotation.

Good to see trent and elliot on the bench.

Should have done a Jose in the infamous slip game, field a b-team and prioritise the next game that mattered more.
