It said it all last week when Trent admitted that winning the ballon d’or meant more to him than any trophy with his teammates.
I think he’ll fit right in at Real with that attitude. He’ll never win it but he’ll fit right in with that bunch
Look - he just might.. Carra sounds like he knows what he is saying.. He really doesn't know a thing about that level of the game.
He will be under no illusion at the Bernebeu. HE plays as slack for them as he has for us even twice and he is toast. They will boo the shite outta him and he will have to walk.
But....the lad has unmatched talent. IF he has to play at the full 100% he just might.. Then he becomes truly world class.. and in a team with that talented front line... His numbers could be off the charts. Not the toughest gig to play that role with Vini - Mbappe - Rodrygo as the trident up top. Remember peak Mo - Bobby - Mane.. Makes life one fook-load easier for everyone.
This situation is in many ways similar to the Coutinho to Barca scenario… yes it could be argued he will be playing with much better players, in a less competitive league, which will allow him to really shine supplying that glorious forward line, rather than being at Liverpool, who are not yet at the same level and who it has to be said, play in a far more challenging league and Trents achilles heel, defending, will be under the spotlight far more often.
However, at Real Madrid he will end up being a much smaller fish in a much bigger pool, and if thinks even at his best, he is going to outshine Mbappe, Vini Jr, Bellingham…etc and go on to win the Ballon D’or he really is kidding himself… not to mention the damage to the legendary status at Liverpool that he currently enjoys.
Whereas, if he stays at Liverpool, his profile, his reputation and status is already assured for life, and if he does end up being our next Captain and we then go on to achieve multiple Premier League Titles and we also go on to win the Champions League… imho under these circumstances, given his CV at Liverpool, his chances of ending up winning the Ballon D’or as our Club Captain is far more likely, than it ever will be at Real Madrid…

Van Nistelrooy is the new Leicester manager.
I'd be in fits if he did semi-well and Amorim simultaneously flopped.
