Unless we are serious and reinforce this January - we will struggle to even be in a title race nevermind win one. Midfield looked tired tonight - it’s early December. Darwin is a so rough - Robbo miles off it - Konate missing which leaves an older Virgil more exposed.

    Slots work starts now
So you can't say in one breath that it's way to early in the season to get carried away but then in the next breath say that if we don't reinforce in January we'll struggle to be in the title race. If it's too early for one of those discussions then by that merit it's too early for the other!!

We all know it, right now without Mo Salah we are screwed.

Three more goal involvements tonight, no one else in the front three looked capable of troubling the scorers whatsoever.

Either Nunez or Jota (injury prone) need to be replaced asap. We need many many more goals from our centre forward position

We were in trouble as soon as Konate and Bradley got injured. If Mo has a spell on the sidelines our seven point cushion could be reduced further, if not completely eliminated very quickly.

Apparently Newcastle didn't have a shot on target against palace at the weekend.... Teams are going to be gunning for us now....

Not surprised by the result especially at St James, that fixture always has late drama. Thought we had stolen one until Kelleher botched that last goal. Oh well, hope to thrash the blue shite on the weekend.

You can when you see the fade in players like Robbo already. When you see that Grav is finally showing the effects of too many games and that our back line is now looking more and more dependent on both Virgil and Konate being ever present,

At the end of the day/game that's a decent point at a very tough ground. Newcastle have been hot and cold but hopefully they'll play like that against Arsenal, Chelsea etc.
We weren't going to keep winning every game and after the last week a bit of a comedown was perhaps inevitable.
Disappointing result but I don't get the despondency, some of the comments are ridiculous and typically knee jerk.

However as we all know (one person in particular) one game, one error, one mistake, one accident etc can be the difference between winning and losing, and even if we don't see it that way, others certainly will.
Title races have plenty of ifs and buts, twists and turns, peaks and troughs.

All of us would have taken being 7 points clear after 14 games at the start of the season. I remain (big picture, not tonight) pleased that we have a cushion, disappointed as I am (this evening) that it's a smaller one than yesterday.

If you are keen to have a bad result to point at, the Forest one where we got 0 points rather than 1 probably makes more sense - but I'm personally reluctant to single out individual games that make or break a season until we're into the business end of the last 12 matches or so - and that is ages away.

Newcastle also beat Arsenal this season and got a draw against Man City.
