    From the BBC...

Liverpool boss Arne Slot spoke about goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, on the Football Daily podcast: "He's done remarkably well for us, so so good in all these games, even today until the last minute, he was good for us. Unfortunately for him, he misjudged the situation where a right-footed centre back gets the ball 40 centimetres before the touchline, from a crazy angle and finds a way to score it. It was real unlucky for him and for us. We conceded three goals, the last one he could have done better probably but the first two, other players could have done a bit better."

Use our fucking pressing & counter pressing in situations like that go man for man as we used to because these players can do it & we’re the best at it, don’t let them play, win it BACK in their half keep it in their fucking half

I never could stand dropping off & inviting pressure as a club in my lifetime we’ve always been fucking shit at it

    New CB required in Jan
    The same old???

That's why we're top of the league and top of champions league, after beating real madrid and man city, aka know as best teams in the world lately ?????

Same old "Slots pissed you off"?

Oh do fuck off, but I agree with a new CB at the least if we want to win anything

Slot couldn't help a freak goal, scoring 3 at newcastle is pretty good, shame about the defending /Keheller fuck up

A frustrating problem to have - compounded by the pressure of last night's result.

We can either field Gravenberch one more time (and then rest him for some of the Girona/Fulham/Southampton patch) in the hope it helps us to secure victory - or we could always field Endo.

Endo seems an obvious solution to me. If Slot is willing to gamble with a young centre-back at right-back, then fielding a well-rested Japanese international in their natural position shouldn't pose too big a challenge.

Endo will get booked within 20mis then have to walk a tightrope until he's subbed. Hopefully Oliver will cut out the Everton rough stuff but I have my doubts. Is the Greek fit for this?

Think Elliot has more chance of starting... tbh

I don't think slot really rates endo

Grav should be starting at the weekend. Then get him off after 60mins depending on how he is doing. Rest him midweek against girona and start endo in that game.

I'm more worried about how Szobo does in midfield against Everton and if he will be ready for the battle.

Agree that he probably doesn't rate him, but should we wish to rest Gravenberch, it looks the compromise we need to make.

Morton and Elliott are options too, though I'd be surprised.

Mac Allister was on a yellow after 20 minutes last night.

Wataru has over 490 appearances in his career. I'd be inclined to trust him (we have to at some stage) rather than risk Gravenberch as I'd hate to see Gravenberch injured on account of clocked up minutes.

Besides, we could tweak things elsewhere - field Núñez on the left with Salah right so we have two out-balls to by-pass playing it through the middle, or sit off Everton a bit and let them have the ball seeing as they aren't the most creative team - there are always work-arounds for these situations.

Endo for Gravenberch shouldn't be the difference between beating or not beating Everton for me.

I’m over the moon lad…hell ‘I’m lovin it,’

But back down in the real world - where we attempted to land a desperately needed DM and failed - only to find Gravenberch step out of nowhere and do the job single handed in every game….. I guess we can just leave him to it, Let’s just run him into the ground until he breaks….. It’s fine - he’s young right - surely he can just keep doing it on and on and on across an entire league and extended CL season…?

I guess it’s doesn’t really matter in the Endo..
It is a pity you are not really enjoying the season.

Grav looks like one of the best in the business so far. Transformed in the post-miracle worker era.

Morton has always impressed me though he lacks some physical gifts. Hope to see more of him in the lesser games. Maybe he'll turn out to be another unearthed gem.
