    Passing Pressing & Counter pressing

If you aspire to be a team doing all these things well, which with their abilities developed under Jurgen there should be no issue combining the 3

Yet in every game bar one there are numerous times you lose the ball & the opposition have 3 or more very good options to find immediately, often a couple they could release through on goal with the right pass

You’re not doing it anywhere near fucking right

You don’t need 6 players in space with no-one picked up should you lose it, as keeps happening continually to play a passing game

Yeah the system is totally shite, I really hope slot leaves soon

    I don't fancy the chanpionship.

Slot & players aren't doing anything right, shocking.

Is this with 10 or 11 men on the pitch ?

Would you prefer a line of 3 leading the press rather than a line of 4 Nineteen?

Do you see that sort of 4-2-4 deployment as an over-commit leaving us short centrally in front of the centre-backs?

Exactly that we’ve been too easy to play through in too many games when we lose possession & we’re often light in the midfield, often with only Grav in there & the other 2 both ahead of their mids making it easy for them or their wide players to be released

It keeps happening & it’s like a repeat of how we lost it in 18-19 when teams kept releasing players down our right v Trent when Jurgen was playing 4231 which we fixed by bringing Hendo in at RCM

We had got away with it for a good while but we’ve just dropped 4 points from 9 through it

In 18/19 we did better in 4231 than 433 as I recall. Points per game & goal difference.

We are leading Chelsea by 2 points with a game in hand in the pl. Best defensive record in the league.
Realistically a top 8 finish secured with 2 CL games to play. Konate has been missed.

4 winnable games to play before the January transfer window opens. Southampton in the EFL cup, Spurs away, Leicester at home & West Ham away in the PL. Konate, Bradley & Tsimi due back soon enough by reports. MacA & Robbo back from suspension.

Seems Zubimendi was on the summer shopping list. I'd go for a CB first in January.

Keep working at it much improved first half v Saints in the cup & today

I would really like to see LFWD & RFWD up No9 dropping in & an aggressive Jurgen style press setting traps to nick it & plunder more on the counter for spells when we’re 2 or more goals to thr good

Rather than just sitting off deep letting them play

Maybe you can explain which of the current CBs you’d replace with the new one in Jan.
