He's slowly playing himself out of consideration for that position with his appearances this season.

He showed a lot of promise under Klopp, but this season just has not been it for him, and this game largely encapsulated everything wrong with him as a player.

Sorry I know he scored tonight but that all round performance from Nunez was absolutely bereft of any footballing nouse or ability. He was terrible

Some awful performances in the second half from several players and Quansah very nearly gave away his customary goal at the end. I would have been furious if we had been losing and that happened to us. It was a definite foul and probably a red card

Interesting half from Chiesa. Looks a million miles off match fitness, and welcome to English football. But slowly beginning to remember he has a good touch and an eye for the right pass.

I think Jarell has done well to get away with it once he's not dealt with the initial ball....

Could have no complaints if he walked there but he did the right thing in stopping him one way or another. Would much rather he did that with 3 minutes to go and get sent off for the team than let the man go and score....

Oh he’s top top level quality - it’s the fitness and will to work that is the issue. Get the last 2 right and we will have made the steal of the century - but Italians are rarely naive.

Ł10 million in 2024 - for the man who was the pride of Italy in 2021

Let’s hope those late flashes of brilliance are a sign of what’s to come on a consistent bases rather than a repeated flicker

Yep Chiesa had a couple of very decent goal bound efforts blocked and played one particularly good ball over to Jota.

Danns looked lively when he came on too.

I have high hopes for Danns. Has all the tools. Vision - composure, quick feet and the stature too.

Endo won 11 of 13 duels, 4 successful tackles and 85% pass completion, on a filthy night playing out of position in his first start for some time.

    Close to motm for me.
