How do we keep doing it. No matter how poor and low in confidence the opposition are we manage to bring the best out of them. It's been the same for years

The league game was no walk in the park either.
OK, when is the draw for the semi-finals?
Is it after the Uniturd game tomorrow?
Another forthcoming issue is that we will probably go full strength now in the semis for two legs.
Seems sacrilegious but I'd honestly rather we didn't have those additional games to play. The Everton game is going to be in the same month too. The two legs semis need scrapping.
10 times now - lovely.
Think Man City are closest with 8, Man United have 6 and then Chelsea and.....is it Aston Villa (?) I think are both on 5 - it's nice to be out in front in one department.
Slot will just have to rotate carefully here and there. Certain players have played more than they needed to (Gravenberch) and some way less than they could have done (Endo) and hopefully minutes can be managed accordingly. That's just the midfield.
With Endo in particular, there's got to be situations where we are 1-0 or 2-0 up and we take a calculated risk of bringing off one of Mac Allister or Gravenberch after 65 minutes and bringing Endo on, rather than bringing Endo on for the likes of the 88th minute. Morton exists as well.
Hopefully with lads re-entering the fray (Jota, Chiesa, Elliott, Tsimikas) we'll be able to get a few lads something resembling a breather as the games start to build up.
Also feel it's worth noting the context of the League attempt and our challengers. We have seen mid-high 90s not be enough for the points tally and I think there's every possibility that 85 points or so will be enough this season, so we can probably afford more dropped points than it "feels like" we can.

Sid, you've misconstrued what I meant with my statement....
I'm saying bin it off. We have a small squad, and have had for years a small squad. It's not worth the burnout on our players going far in this quite meaningless competition tbh...
I've no doubt in my mind we'd have won the league and the CL in 2022 (going into the CL final against Madrid as PL champions would have been a different Liverpool beast), if we'd have binned off the League Cup and maybe even the FA Cup too...
I'd have swapped both of those trophies for either one of the big ones (PL/CL), never mind winning both, which we could have, and deserved to...
We keep seeing these kind of statistics from yet the little samurai is continually written off.
Think the Quansah criticism is harsh. Thought he played well other than getting caught under the ball right at the end.
Agreed with the Nunez comments earlier. He took his goal really well but the rest of his game was just poor. The amount of times we had a man over and he just couldn't see it.
