Definitely not ideal but I love how fans always ignore the players and agents in these contract situations. Trent, Mo and Virgil all have to power to stay or leave. All have offers from LFC on the table. It's entirely up to them now.

Correct they do. And the players / agents play the game to get the best deal. But normally, contracts for players like this are sorted a year in advance. So I think this time it's on the club.

Yes it is, if you know they have messed up. The club is a collection of people and we have no idea about who, if anyone, messed up. There have been massive changes over the last year, scrambling to get a new manager and backroom staff. Then adding Edwards and Hughes. The whole situation is difficult and as you say, players and agents have their own interests at heart, as they should.

It's impossible to know where to lay the blame. All parties probably deserve an equal share, even the great Jurgen for starting the ball rolling.
