    Liverpool Vs Brentford starting 11

    ____________Alisson__________
    Bradley____Konate___Virgil___Tsimikas
    ___Gravenberch_Macca_Szoboszlai
    Sala________Jota_______Gakpo

I would start Kelleher over Alisson but not gonna happen. So placed Alisson in the team. should have saved the shot last night.
Had enough of Robertsons clumsiness, The incident where he tried to get to a ball in the full back area and he went head over heals was laughable.. Its hard to decide who of our fullbacks are worse at the moment.
I will stick with the same midfield i think its the best when all the players are fit.. Diaz coming off play last night didnt help us up front.. Hopefully Jota plays more forward and that will give our midfield chance to play behind him.
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century

As bad as Robertson has been at times, apart from the corner last night, what exactly has Tsimikas done to deserve a start… neither are playing that well, but tbh I feel slightly more comfortable with Robbo…

Maybe I have a bit of a bias towards Robbo, but Tsimikas has never instilled me with any confidence ever… just saying.

Robbo has looked a good level below Tsimikas to my eye. And that's a Tsimikas who isn't really at full fitness too. Played one or 2 decent games this season has Andy but mostly well below par. Keeps getting the flight of the ball wrong, falling over, diving in with rash tackles and has been positionally found wanting on many occasions.

Andy was a demon worker in his prime. His running was epic, relentless. Sadly without those blistering lung busting runs in attack or in recovery his lack of genuine technique gets exposed more and more.

Don't forget tearing at a Utd player's shirt for 20 seconds right in front of the linesman at the death of a game we were desperately trying to win...

I'd give Tsimikas a run of games now. His corners are better and all....

    Sadly, I think you're right.

I'm more surprised by his positonal play. As you say he's getting caught out, more and more frequently.

He's still got fantastic delivery in the final third but he keeps getting caught between two stools. He's still got the Klopp wingback mentality but it looks more and more like Slot wants his fullbacks to be fullbacks.

My favourite player of Klopp's era (and there were many to choose from!). He opitomised everything about that side.

But we should definitely be looking for his replacement. Though, i'm not overly struck on the lad at Bournemouth and Robinson from Fulham will be 28 when next season kicks off, so not exactly future proofing. We should be seriously considering Alphonso Davies, but again he's (as are most FBs today) far more of an attacking wingback. A left footed Steve Finnan or a Stevie Nicol would be perfect in Slot's side.

Absolutely right about Robbo, without wanting it sound like we're piling in on him he's been responsible for a few goals like that one against Utd. Caught in no mans land at the back post. He should be making that tackle/getting in front so that doesn't reach Amad. Add that to the rashness of giving away penalties and he suddenly like Walker at City looks to have aged rapidly and needs replacing now.
A fabulous player and a club legend but the time has come and I'm sure he'll be well aware.
It'll be interesting to see what he will do when we do sign a new LB, will he stick around as back up ( which means Tsimikas goes) or leave for first team games elsewhere.

I too agree that Tsimikas should be starting ahead of him. I don't personally see where he's gone wrong much at all. He's pretty solid defensively.
I read a link with a guy called Dorgu. Danish and plays for Lecce. I've not heard of him and not seen him mentioned it elsewhere. Anybody seen him play?
