I was just about to ask what Sky's 'relax mode' is, but I quickly realised you were referring to your current state of mind.

    Always liked him ..

Testament to this was Brentford manager Thomas Frank's post-match assessment on Saturday, as he said: "We just played City, Arsenal and now Liverpool in a short amount of time. For me, they're a level above the two teams. They're complete. It's the best team in the Premier League and the world. They're huge favourites to win it.

He's right as well. We really are.

    I said recently that -

    - and I don't think that stance is going to change for me this season, though we'll see if I feel as confident in April or so.....

Having what is now a 6-point lead (with superior goal difference) means that we are a 2-game swing ahead, likely a 3-game swing in practical terms with the GD aspect unless we get spanked and/or Arsenal get high-scoring results to overcome that comfortable +8 goal advantage.

Plus that game in hand is huge, plus entertaining Arsenal at Anfield which happens in something like Gameweek 34 or so - it's very near the end.

Even if Arsenal were to manage to chip away at our lead (and due credit if they manage to do so) we could still enter that potentially seismic fixture deep into the run-in 2 points behind them and muster a massive win that consolidates belief for those closing matches.

I think we'll retain a lead over them right until the end of the season though, if you "made" me predict it. There will be plenty more points dropped by both sides and I think they'll have a spell where they close in on us, but I am quite confident that we'll ultimately remain ahead, even if there's a wobble where we only lead by a point for a 3-week spell or something like that.

Confidence is nothing compared to results though. Having our next European match and our next League game both taking place at Anfield is a bit of a kindness in our schedule, so we need to make the most of the coming days and beat Ipswich to maintain the calm "business as usual" that has defined (most of) our season outside the recent scare of a couple of draws.

That’s from a man who knows. And I think he is right. Let’s be honest - we should have scored 6 or more today and at least 4 v Forrest.

Just need to get those goals back and we should be good.

But - we will struggle imo with only a few injuries and that is my biggest worry. We need reinforcements - whether we win the title or not - they are needed.

Imagine if we have the opportunity to win the league against Arsenal in that game.
It would be absolutely insane if we actually won it against them.
Plenty of twists left but those results today are massive. Saliba looks like he's out for a bit too.

The smiles on Darwins and Chiesas faces when he scored the 2nd is brilliant.

Could be a massive catalyst for him. Maybe this is the moment where he finally wakes up - settles himself - adds the composure so vital. Utilises the tools he has at his disposal to maximum effect. Please let it be so.

The fans love him - because and for good reason - he does give his all.

He was our biggest threat for a decent stretch last season. Could this be a new start - one where he puts it all together. I expect more big misses but a confident Darwin is something opposition fear.

Amazing emotion today at the death.

We all hoped for that after the late brace against Newcastle steveo. Obviously, I’d love to see it, but some how I think he’ll revert to the Darwin that we see most games. It’s so frustrating for him and us because he’s clearly not a shit player, but just can’t get it together when playing in a Liverpool shirt.

Edit: I tried to do that clever thing where the video starts at 2min 13sec but for some reason, it doesn’t work.
