Absolutely must win either this or the derby, 4 points wouldn’t be a disaster but with still City, Chelsea and Villa away and Arsenal at home to come, 6 points would obviously be better.

Just hope our first hour is considerably better than at Forest or the first half at Newcastle.

So much football still to play

I can understand your stance, but tbf I do think that Man City psychologically do have a bit of a voodoo sign over both Arsenal and Arteta, and given Arsenal’s struggles this year and Man City's recent resurgence, I also think that City beating Bruges on Wednesday will have buoyed the City team to such an extent that I think this game has a lot of jeopardy for Arsenal….

Saying that Arsenal winning would not be a shock either, but hey ho I would settle for a draw..LOL!!

Agree. Still plenty of twists left, we are obviously in the position everyone wants to be in but just one result changes the picture and the mindset especially as a fan.
I'd imagine it's very different for the players though.
I've said a few times that one difference between this season is the lack of panic. In the past our seasons always had that frantic element to the games where we desperately wanted the final whistle. Doesn't feel that way this season, there's a steadiness to our game that's not been there before.
Definitely think it's helped upto now that we haven't had the 115s breathing down our necks hunting us down.
Two draws in the next 2 would be really ,really disappointing but 2 wins would be absolutely immense.

There will be a bit of bad blood from the Emptyhad game earlier in the season. Hopefully it's another ding-dong battle, and they kick lumps out of each other again...
City get something points wise hopefully...

Aye I can see it being an ill tempered one.
Like Arsenal Utd was the other week in the cup.

I don't think i'm over doing the importance of todays game.. Its gonna be very difficult. If we can come away with a win..would be a massive boost towards winning the league.

Agree. I hope they are switched on from the off. A slack, lacklustre first half against this lot could be game over. 9 goals scored in the last 2 games.
I'd love a couple of real statement wins in the next 2 tough league games. Any win will do but 2 convincing wins would be a real marker.

Something BobPaisleyFan said about not conceding first made me look at some stats...

It feels like we concede first a lot, probably feels that way because it's always disappointing when we do!

So far this season we have conceded first in 3/11 away games this season, and 5/11 home games(?!)
