I’m enjoying the continuing improvement we’re seeing We’re pressing & counter pressing better, we’re defending better & more front foot again and we’re playing with really great variation now and with tempo not overpassing so much using the switches playing the right ball when it’s on more often or trying it at least

    Set pieces need work

We need to work on that press a couple of sides have done & when they’re blind pressing Grav & Mo, it’ll be harder for them to execute now we’re playing with more variation but be good to look to exploit their trying to do it as in into feet MAKE SURE we get to the ball first, pop it back into feet to switch & release the opposite side or look to release immediately with a diagonal for the run in behind

What a performance from all concerned. About as close to perfect as your going to get.
It's funny, in terms of a sense of control over the 90-plus minutes and doing the vast majority of things right, it's got to be one of the closest performances we have put in to the impeccable standard of the 4-0 against Leicester under Klopp.

It just seemed so easy today. Didn't "feel" easy for the first half an hour because psychologically you always want that goal to get going, but if we watched the match again right now with the comfort of knowing the result I think it would look very effortless.

A superb performance (even with increments of room for improvement) that I hope we manage to match at Wembley.

That incident with Virgil and Richarlison last evening..Richarlison was all over our captain.. so big Virg pushed him away with his elbow.. the contact was just below the neck bone.. and that turd Richarlison went down like he'd been pole-axed holding his face.. hes always been a waste of space. going back to his days at the bitters..
Love how VVD offered to help him up a few minutes later then withdrew his hand.

Get a few on big Virg scoring on wed, he still carries a justified grudge towards Smickford and he'll want to make his mark.
