No greater knock for Prickford and that shower than us taking the 3 points.

I don't care how we do it.. Just do it..

Magnificent last night; every single player. That was back to the Klopp press at its height. Not sure it’s sustainable, because I’m wondering if heavy metal football was the cause of multiple stress and strain injuries… something we seem to have overcome with our more pragmatic approach (touch wood), but it’s very effective when used right.

    Should be a decent final.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!

I'd gladly swap last night's performance for next Wednesday.... Must win at any cost is right, but it'd be great to twat them!

    Spot on assessment imo.

Play like that every game and players feel it in their legs far sooner, muscle injuries become a theme...etc etc. Great to be able to switch it on though. Keeps teams guessing.

Love how VVD offered to help him up a few minutes later then withdrew his hand.
    Lol lol, the whole incident...

41 wins apiece for us and Everton at Goodison Park.

Last ever match there for us. A draw feels fated but the idea of us winning what is essentially a "winner takes all" of bragging rights is wild and very rare. If we end up on a 42-41 scoreline that they can never undo it'd be a beautiful little foot-note for the annals of history regarding Derbies.

It'll likely be akin to 13/14 v Chelsea in terms of Everton's efforts to stop us and will likely be a story crafted around mental fortitude, concentration and guile rather than silk and style.

Not to mention the value of the points in our title bid.

One thing is for certain - it will be a very different affair to that we saw last night.

We have to cross the park with a battle mentality- because a battle is what it will be.

They'll try and play I think.
They have turned a corner the last few games, scoring goals too so with it being the last one I can't see them playing for a hit on the break 1-0.
That will hopefully work in our favour.
It will be tough no doubt, they'll be absolutely bang up for it so the lads need to ensure they're on the same level in that respect.

It was the positioning rather than running, the runs were quite short because of better coordinated pressing & positioning

This was always my point to Steveo in the subject as before Slot got the press and counter press far better organised & tweaked for different opposition, we were letting them transition & counter us constantly which had 4 or 5 players Siri ting from their box to ours over and over and over which of course is a far greater strain on everything then shirt 5-10 yards runs

By thrn I meant every team we played first half of the season

Were getting a good balance of rotation & tiger’s a nice balance of rest in good position with the ball & different players being the one to dive the ball forward

Under Jurgen it was almost always Gini driving the ball forward now it’s Robbo Bradley Macca Gravenberchio Sloppy Jones sometimes Virgil or Konate or Tsimi

Got all the mids playing quality switches now too when it used to just be Hendo

The medium to long diagonals need work as does the quality crossing putting the recycled ball from our corners back in when we have 3 or 4 in there with the run on their defenders looking for the ball back stick

Our attacking set pieces need a lot of improvement
