Thanks Tees.
A couple of takeaways for me is:
“They will extract value when they think the time is appropriate and the price is right. What they are doing with the Penguins is a perfect example of this.
“What they did with Liverpool is a perfect example too. They effectively have bought 90 per cent of Liverpool and it has cost them nothing.
“They are masters of this game. Whenever I’m doing a case study, I always give FSG as an example of people who are planning two or three years ahead at all times.
AND:
Most estimates place Liverpool’s enterprise value at around the £4bn mark, making them one of the most valuable clubs in football.
However, in the wider ambit of global sport, Liverpool don’t even make the top 25.
Why? Because American franchise sport is still the big-ticket sector. In the NFL or NBA, revenues can be lower but are less volatile, while costs are fixed and profits all but guaranteed.
They've banked 83m alone this season already, that's more than the winners made last season for going all the way.
That last part you've highlighted there is exactly what is the biggest threat to football as we know it. European football especially, not sure if theres US interest in South American football? Gate receipts are paltry in comparison to other revenue streams.
It's interesting that "most estimates" have LFC valued at 4bn. That can't be right really as they were blatantly up for selling it two years ago but got nowhere near they're valuation.
The premier league said just last week there's no plans to take a game abroad. I don't believe that for a second and it's absolutely inevitable. Their influence over football is already overbearing.

Not confirmed but rumoured that Havertz has done his hamstring on their warm weather training break and is out for the season.
That would be great news and should seal the title
Shit as that is to say.
No way can they cope with him saka and jesus
It's on sky, so i assume it's true
They're literally down to 17 year old Nwaneri who's probably the best they've got not injured, Trossard and Sterling.

Before we get ahead of ourselves here, injuries can just as easily happen to our players, Celebrating another teams misfortune is a bit shit imho..
Tbh I want to beat them when they have all their best available players, otherwise they can and will just play their “Get out jail free card “ …you only won because of our injuries or Covid…blah blah blah…
Lets just beat the bitters this evening![]()
