They were made to look far batter than their league position suggests they are. But yes they looked good. They have some quality players - just can’t score. Good job for that today of we don’t take any points at all

Maybe another TAA situation? Both are likely to be off in the summer, so why put in a decent shift?

Tired after Wednesday night, not surprising really...
Tough faught for 3 points to regain our 7 points advantage. That's all that matters...
Roll on Wednesday evening at Villa Park... YNWA

Other than the three points, the only other good thing that may have come from today's game is that those connected to Arsenal may have had very high hopes that we'd drop points given what transpired in the second half, and thus the final result might deflate them a bit, if only a tiny bit.

That's actually a very valid point... Hope so...

It is NOT mental fatigue, tiredness, FSG, transfers in, player replacement or any of the rest above.
Watch the game back and see a POOR Wolves team out pass and outplay us.
Look for our back line all out of position.
Look for our tedious slow play from the back. (Wolves back in defence)
No movement to receive a pass in midfield or attack.
Forward passes halted then passed back (Wolves back in defence)
But rather than point out more things, the main problem is at no time did any player mark a Wolves player.
Look at the second half , we were wide open, could not get near them. They even had time to flick and trick as the waltzed through us in midfield. We could not play offside , and too many through balls cut us to pieces.
It is ALL about playing good football and not ad lib enjoying the game.
It worked under Klopp and it has worked under Slot, When it works it is brilliant entertainment.
When it doesn't then revert back to basic good football.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot speaking to Sky Sports: "Just as big as all the other ones but this one is big. We needed to fight and we needed Alisson. In a season where you want to achieve something, you need to have wins like this as well. Wins like this should also be included where you want to achieve something.

"It's never the gameplan never to create anything at all. We did have a goal offside and a penalty overturned. We were by far a goal threat in the second half. Wolves took a lot of risks. The team felt today to bring this win over the line, defending was more important than attacking. if this is what it takes to win a game then I'm happy the players could do that again.

"Fatigue comes from running a lot and a bit of mental fatigue a lot. We were mentally tested today. We thought we'd scored a third and then a penalty for the third but both were correct from the referee. Maybe it did lead to us being a bit tired. I did see for the first time this season that players were more tired than they have been.

"It wasn't the plan that Cody Gakpo got injured because Diaz played against Plymouth. He showed great character by being really important with the two goals and his work rate.

"You can never breathe in this competition. I saw Arsenal's 15-game unbeaten run and the gap has always been the same so that shows that we do. If you want to compete for something special then you have to win a lot of games in this league.

On his FA charge: "I've said before the game as it is an ongoing process, it is not smart to talk about it. We've seen the comments from the referee and now we can say our part. It's down to a panel to decide if I get a ban."

Naah that’s an example of a very limited and basic view on the game. Written as though the players are robots and not humans.

They made a poor side look like a very good side because a top club that backs their manager properly doesn’t play 99.99 the same side on the Sunday v a bottom dweller after the toughest game of the season on the Wednesday.

And that has everything to do with the owners - not having genuine rotation for key players.
