We don't have enough players who can consistently put in 7/10 performances. We have too many players who either simply aren't good enough (Nunez I'm looking at you), players who aren't fit enough for long enough (Jota being the best example), or players that aren't consistent enough i.e. they'll have a run of games where they look like they might be reaching a level where they can consistently put in good performances, only for them to revert back to being inconsistent or looking like they might not make the grade e.g. Jones, Elliott, Diaz, Slobozlai etc.

The above being the case not only makes us too dependent on players such as Salah, Virgil, Gravenberch etc, but it also heaps far too much pressure upon their shoulders.

The genius of missing out on Zubimendi or any suitable quality DM at all 😜 no honestly some were over the moon that this came to pass - is revealing itself for what it always was. Utterly remiss.

Now what some of us suggested would happen has officially happened. Certainly in the last 3 games at least.! Gravenberch looks goosed… That fella who was so dynamic out of position - but on the half turn - looks unable to run 10 yards right now.

I’m just thankful Arsenal missed out on bringing a forward in during the transfer window.

Not to forget when he was put through with Martinez rushing out. He could of dinked it over him or knock the ball to the left and he would of been taken out. No he just run in a straight line and jumped over Martinez so he didn't get hurt. Another situation he had a simple pass to pick out Salah, but didn't make it.

Yesterday I was pointing out that Gravenberch went from warming the Munich bench, now playing every game
for us. Now wonder he's now hit the wall.

True , look back ten games , he was picking the ball up on the half turn and driving 30 yards , he looks absolutely bollocksed at the minute , I know it’s a drop off but I would play endo for a few games

He just had to do the old Slide it one side and run the other or just pass across to salah . It’s like he ALWAYS makes the wrong decision

I missed the first half (but by all accounts were unlucky to go in behind at half time?).

I thought we played well in the 2nd half. We certainly didn't look tired. Macca did by the time he came off, and is the one that worries me the worst in terms of condition.

Slot's not helped himself by starting all 4 'main' midfielders. No chance of rotation, when you're doing that kind of thing! I'd not be happy if I was Chiesa.

I think he got his subs wrong as well, Trent looked like he was on one last night, and bot just the from the goal, but he was the driving force in everything we were doing well. Slot then subsequently subbed him after he'd scored.

And finally to Nunez... No excuses for last night. He's had 3 years and there has been zero improvement. He has to be moved on in the summer. If the Ł75m offer we received in January is to believed, we should have snapped their hands off.

Slot comments this morning about nunez sounds like a manager that is getting to point of being fed up. This is from James Pearce "Slot says the glaring miss "got too much" in Darwin Nunez's head.
"I can accept every miss. What is harder for me to accept is the behaviour after that chance. It was not the usual Darwin who works his ass off. He was too disappointed at missing that chance."

The subs were disastrous last night

Not helped by them giving us this many weekend & midweek games in a row & our lack of the required depth of quality
