Yeah i doubt he'll be playing at Maine road.. Since man-cheaty moved from there 15/20 years ago
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
Can still play in the centre circle....Couple of goals at each end...Sorted!!.....

By the law of averages, and given how often the officials manage to get things wrong, there hasvto be questions asked…
However, this season this Man City side is not on the same level as City teams from previous seasons, so we will never have a better chance to change our record at City and fingers crossed achieve a season defining statement win at Man City, belief is the key today.
Lets WIN this league and to do that, winning today will be a massive step in that direction…
Let’s fucking do this….
Yeah. I rate him and defend him.
To summarise my position on Darwin.
His goals & assists per minute are comparable with Isaks over their club careers at LFC & Toon.
Isak is the main man at Newcastle & adored by their fans.
In contrast Darwin is one of 4 attackers vying for 2 starts & minutes at CF & LWF. For me this is a serious factor for consideration with our 4 lads compared with other players.
This season, earlier this season and open to correction now, Darwin was applying more off the ball pressures than Sobozla !!! You can see it in tackles etc. That's frankly amazing.
Darwins a lightning rod for criticism. This year Jota is clearly our least clinical attacker. Underperforming his XG the most, a glaring number of big chances missed. Salah has a high number of big chances missed this year.
Darwin missing a big chance is by my total guess work, is equal to 3 Salah big chances missed & 5 Jota big chances missed.
Broke the stats down and Jota, Diaz, Gakpo & Nunez combined have had about as much XG as Salah in the PL and scored more goals.
These 4 lads step in and out of the side, and when Salah was missing last year scoring goals wasn't an issue.
Nunez has bettered every Arteta signed forward at Arsenal per minute for goals & assists. And in total goals & assists. It's an actual sign of the quality we have in attack. Nunez would improve Arsenal.
Salah is adored, currently Gakpo is adored, Diaz, Chiesa, Jota & Nunez not so much. Salahs adoration is constant, the others adoration is fleeting, waxing & waning over the season.
So yeah I'd start Nunez![]()
Well that’s a comprehensive argument extolling the virtues of Nunez starting, but whilst I am not going to even attempt to question the veracity of your stats, I do think thats the problem with stats, they can be interpreted in a multitude of ways…
Personally I prefer to rely on the good old eye test, I totally understand the qualities Nunez brings to the table and how these qualities have contributed to our points tally this season, unfortunately his propensity to pick the wrong pass, get caught offside, fail to control the ball, panic under pressure and his constant failure to select the right finish in front of goal…is the most frustrating.
I think everyone, including non LFC supporters would put him nowhere near a comparison with Isak, who may not offer the same athletic qualities as Nunez, but regardless of Isak’s stats, his all round control, finishing and decision making is on another level to Nunez this season…
The problem I have with Nunez is the negative impact his failing can have on his fellow team mates when he constantly proves to be the weakest link in our attacks… that for me is a big problem. All the coaching, patterns of play and high press efforts are all geared to creating good goal scoring chances, if those goal scoring chances are then constantly wasted by poor decision making or a lack of composure in front of goal, especially an open goal, the effect on the rest of the starting 11, subs and coaching staff can be devastating….
So on that basis, I wouldn’t start him and I would simply give Chiesa a try in that false 9 role… not from the start, but coming off the bench. Nunez needs to realise he has to improve or for me, he should be spending a lot more time on the bench…
Hey ho we all see things differently, and who knows, Nunez may surprise us all and win it for us today… wouldn’t that be nice. If he did, I would be the first to congratulate him…
Haaland not in the City squad for today’s game
Team confirmed:
Alisson
Trent Konate Van Dijk Robertson
Gravenberch Mac Allister Jones
