I would imagine this thread makes for good reading.
Great result. Great defensive display. The Anfield game will be just as tough.

There's no disregard for facts.
The facts are we won those games, it's completely out of our hands what those teams do either side of the game we play them in.
Forest regardless of last season have taken points off pretty much everyone this season and we lost to a PSV side with a second string team and had pretty much qualified already.
You take positives from good results.
Who's saying Saints will be an easy game?

VOTE JOCKY tae fix this fiasco.
Wasn’t aimed at you tees.
But since you replied - when we lost to PSV there were mitigating factors right? You already alluded to one. And I presume the same goes for Plymouth? I am sure we all know there were some v Fulham.
Then on Forrest.. You’re citing their form this season when the crux of Sid’s post was about our performance levels v sides that did so well last season. He was lamenting the fact we never got the chance for a clean sweep because we never faced the Italian Champs from last season
I was simply suggesting that anyone can cherry pick some games to make a narrative. Sid is always trying to push one. We beat some sides that did brilliant last season. Yes - however one of those sides has gone to shyte this season and the other was doing shyte - by their standards when we played them at Anfield.
Here are some facts that I believe were disregarded.
Real were missing 2/3 of their attack. That in late October and November 2024 Real lost at home 4:0 and 3:1 shortly before coming to Anfield? They had even lost to LOSC...FFS.They weren't in a good place by their standards..**It’s a fact and even the media pundits were onto it suggesting they had a job on in incorporating a new way to play with a new CF Mbappe and an injury crisis to their attack.
Man City : that they have been utter pants this season..**I mean again - people are free to stand in the corner and argue against these facts all they like... but that is the reality.
Bottom line:
We have a few whose support is weighted towards the owners - it's obvious who they are...but luckily a majority who are clearly supporters of the club and beyond them there are a few who are always ready to call out the money men when needed. Regardless of whether we are in a slump or winning number 6 or 19.. or possibly 20.
The former always come out with these nonsensical cherry picked examples which makes things seem like they are better than they are - that we are super well set for the future.. while those I call real fans - the ones who put their hard earned cash into the club - they watch like hawks for what is really going on.
We cannot forget that neither one of Mo Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander Arnold have a contract with the club and can walk this summer. !
We are well short at both left back and right back - if and when Trent Leaves.
We are short at CB - no genuine cover for Konate or Virgil - who maybe be off. No cover for stand in Dm Gravenberch - and I won't include Endo.
So:
We have done very well this season with a squad left by the previous manager. The new man has done an amazing job thus far. The results have been way WAY better than I expected we could manage after Klopp's departure. I fully expected a slump. I have made it clear why I think that is... But imo we haven't looked to be as good a side as the results have shown. Maybe that is due to experiencing Klopp's massively entertaining style? - I don't know. Maybe because I feared this season would be poor?
I have credited Slot with making us more pragmatic and going for a higher quality game. However I would be lying if I didn't say we have been somewhere between lucky and extremely fortunate this season.
They say you make your own luck - that maybe true but as a madly passionate Liverpool fan - who is a bag of nerves most games - even at 3 nil with 15 minutes left to go... I would like to see us actually look more in control than we do. The game v PSG highlighted much of what has been worrying me. I did say they might rip us a new one.. They pretty much did - but Alisson had the game of his life.
If people want to make that out to be a great bit of design. I think they are delusional.
On the Siants game... I have seen plenty of comments about how easy that game is.. On paper maybe.. Slot will hopefully have them fully focussed - sharpened up following what should have been a mauling in the French capital.

You were offered a bet, and you declined that offer well before we won v PSG.
Anytime Arsenal do well you're in a great mood ArtetaFamTV.
And off the back of a great week for LFC, it's not surprising to see you are in a dour mood.
Seems you're still hopeful LFC won't win the premier league![]()
Yes - I've spent 40+ years travelling up and down the nation.... spending small fortunes into the bargain - and all the time I was going to the wrong address and following the wrong team. Doh..
CCTV has a theory..
Boy...That result in Eindhoven really did get to you - poor fella.
You were the one losing the run of yourself over the PSV result.
You even talked about us losing the premier league to Arsenal in this thread.
You'd be far happier if Arsenal were 13 points ahead of us in the pl, and you wouldn’t be giving LFC a chance in the PL in that scenario.
Desperately holding on to any ArtetaFamTV hopes![]()
Oh you mean PSV Eindhoven..?
…The bestest home side……..
…. in the world..
Secondly - what treason it is - for me to dare suggest it is possible for us to blow the title - the temerity. I must be punished
Thirdly - the “qualified” statement that - at our expense - I would rather see the team I loathe…almost as much as United…..win the title…. W*%^~<>$. T*%#+ FĄ^*^#. 😳
This is some affliction you have - poor fella.
