Just as I was in summer 2020 - I'm concerned that - with crucial parts of the squad needing urgent attention plus the 3 amigos - still not signed... this isn't going to be much more than a 1 shot deal at best.

That we STILL rely almost exclusively on Mo Salah and the 2 major signings ( the type we needed to make a few more of) made with the Coutinho money.

As for my fears:

Just 1 never-mind 2 or 3 key injures and EVEN in this strange season - with City totally out of the frame - and we would have struggled imo. So let's all credit ourselves and pat ourselves on the back for knowing we wouldn't suffer an injury to Virgil, Salah, Konate or Grav.

I will remind you that - I had the same fear in the title defence season and it came to pass - this time - so far - touch wood - it hasn't.

Nobody shitted on the squad but many of us think that while the owners were making record profits and stiffing the manager we are short in a few areas while we also have 3 keys players able to walk in June. . And we are. The fact both Grav and Macca - players in desperate need of a rest were used on Saturday at home to bottom of the table Southampton.. highlights that the fucking manager of the club feels the same way himself - you daft melt...!!
