Slot has said that Konate was just tired. But would not expect to see trent on Sunday. Trents didn't look too good in fairness. The knee look to buckle a bit.

Diaz asnt been to bad this season,. but his goal return in the last 2/3 months as not been good enough,. we have Gakpo over there but we need cover if Diaz goes in the summer..
Nunez just isn't good enough apart from the odd flash of inspiration.. he needs to go in the summer.. i'm happy with the 3 midfielders we have in Gravenberch Macca and Szoboszlai.. need another in there.. Jones is too passive for my liking.. The only time he got wound up was the game at Everton.he was ridiculously bad when he came on

only blessing we have now in April is we have plenty of time to recover for games.. just get the necessary points for the title and it will be great season for us.

Personally I think there would have been a distinct possibility of us winning sweet f.a. if we hadn't have had Gerrard in our team.

It's not a case of "well we do have these players, so it's a moot point", it's merely highlighting the fact that we are over reliant on such players which means that we are constantly walking a tightrope that we wouldn't need to be walking if only for a bit more quality to share some of the burden.

All it takes is for one or two of these players to become fatigued, have a dip in form, or get injured for us to start struggling, and that's before you factor in anything happening to any of our other players.

A current example is Arsenal. Saka on his own got injured and Arsenal started struggling. A couple more integral players get injured and the wheels came off. Why? Because they didn't get in sufficient backup to lessen the impact of losing just one key player, never mind any other players getting injured or struggling for form.
It is a moot point because you're highlighting something that hasn't happened. You could go on forever with "what if".
Every team has key players they rely on. We aren't the only ones.
We have the best back up keeper in the league who's leaving because he's too good to sit on the bench. Squad players are usually that for a reason.

bizarre the lack of Chiesa playing any minutes. No idea whats going on there. unless his knee injury is still a massive issue..
    something not quite right..

I've had this same discussion with plenty of others, and I'll give you a similar example that I gave to them as to why your argument is severely flawed.

Do you or anybody you know have insurance? If you/they do, I bet there are some kinds of insurance that you/they have never had to make a claim on. With that being the case why do you/they bother? Nothing bad has happened, so why bother having any insurance at all?

The issue is about what can happen, or maybe even what has previously happened. It would be foolhardy to dismiss what could happen, especially if the consequences could be dramatic, and it would be beyond negligent and utterly stupid if you had previous issues where you would have benefited from having insurance, but you still think "Nah, I won't bother. Everything is fine" just like that meme of a dog sitting at a table whilst his house burns around him.

How anyone could watch that game and think the answer was to bring Nunez on earlier, is beyond me.

Good game though. PSG are a very good team so it was always going to be tough. We had plenty of chances at the start of the 2nd half to finish them and couldn’t take them. On another day we win. Disappointing but when we wake up tomorrow we’ll have a cup final to look forward to. We’ve had worse seasons.

Good post but here’s a tip, logic won’t work. It’s like arguing with a toddler.

To be fair, this PSG side are the best side I’ve seen us play since Jurgen first arrived to present

If you’re in a knock out tie against them you need to practice penalties hitting over half way up the goal into the side netting, if you hit it on the deck & DonerKebab goes the right way, he’s saving it

I thought we were great and the players deserve enormous credit. PSG are finally looking like a very good team after years of being “nearly” good. We gave them a real game tonight which makes me wonder what went wrong last week… true, they were brilliant, but we were very poor despite winning.

Onwards we go. If we play with the same attitude on Sunday, we’ll win comfortably.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!
