“cry harder”... Speaks volumes - highlights your level. A bit like your nation prostituting itself to the highest bidder - we have you shilling for your team… F$G. Unless there is some family connection..?
And I have consistently re stated myself that I predicted a drop off this season… ? Can’t you read? And the direct quotes from January are 100% solid - correct today - as they were at the time of posting. You don’t crow in January. And in most of the last 10 seasons the points we have managed since then would not see us top. So why on earth are trying to spin something so sound as otherwise?
As for PSG - well again - seemingly sound comments of mine you quoted. They battered us there - found themselves a goal behind… Then came to Anfield and again were the stronger side (check the stats) - and scored and Alisson was again at full tilt - and we couldn’t get a goal in 120 minutes - the last 30 of which we hung on to…for a penalty shoot out which we lost.
As for Arteta - who isn’t in Klopp’s class btw… you say he wasted millions..? It’s an opinion but one that makes a mockery of the situation since 2020. We are ahead of them this season - they have flopped majorly thus far only not as much as City. Excuses or not they absolutely have had a crisis of injuries though - similar - though at the other end - to us in 2021.
However as previously mentioned and as you continually run away from: Arteta’s team were a laughing stock in 2020.. finished up 43 - forty three points behind us & made a 60 point swing on us in just a few seasons - with Klopp in seasons 5 to 7 to twice finish above us. Explain where these millions were wasted…? If they were - What the fooooook happened to us?
Myself and others were wrong and/or blindsided? Maybe so… BUT maybe there have been some mitigating circumstances? Think 115 charge City - form off a cliff - and Arsenal well down on the last few seasons.. at the same time when United, Chelsea and Spurs have all been in total transition - either ownership change or management change or both.
Like myself - many are absolutely delighted we are “top of the league” because we have waited so long for number 20 - and that the title IS the most important prize of all.
BUT
We can also see how unlikely this is to manifest in much beyond a one season wonder. This is backed up by the debacle over 3 key players who are all out of contract… A lack of any succession planning for left back - no genuine rotation/cover at CB - minus any kind of recognised DM - (Geav isn’t one and Endo is a short CB) 1x sick note at CF and another who looks unable to make the grade (according to the manager) & certain to be sold.
It is possible to be happy as Larry at the table but extremely concerned about the future. We are not all so dim that we can only hold one view without seeing the bigger picture.
You might like lots of things buster but you seem far more able to credit the owners
than you do the one manager who built virtually everything that has us top of the league.
