Troy ‘pub league - only got the gig cause he was built like a brick shyte house Deeney’ saying Mo isn’t world class

A bit like Kylie Minogue suggesting that Nina Simone wasn’t “up there” with the greats.

I mean what in the living fook is that turd of a man looking to achieve? Controversy. Just to actually have anyone mention his name.

He has a thing about LFC. so as to take it out on our best player in the last 10 years... I can't speak to prior say 1994/95 cause my memory is blurry before that. But hes been the best inside right player for our club in my life time.
Up there no doubt with our best player in that position in our history. and this oaf Deeney claims hes not world class.

    Love Nina Simone.

Troy Deeney, Troy Donut more like. An absolute turnip of a pundit and the only way he gets any attention is his continual silly nonsense he talks about Salah.

There's a documentary on shiteflix called "what's the matter Miss Simone". It's brilliant. Directed by her daughter and goes through how she never really got over being rejected by the Philadelphia school of music because she was black despite being head and shoulders above anyone else.
She pretty much sacrificed her career for the civil rights movement. She's an Icon who absolutely pisses on people like Beyonce fucking Knowles from miles up yet she's not revered like her and others.
Her version of "I put a spell on you" is the best, I actually emailed her website to ask who played the saxophone solo on it as there's no credit on the record and nothing online that definitely says who played it.

People thought it was King Curtis for ages but I think I read somewhere that it was confirmed as Jerome Richardson, though Sam Taylor did it on one of the first recordings.

(From memory, so speculation/conjecture must be accounted for - can't guarantee the source I read was the "right" one etc etc)

    Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
You better stop the things you do
    I ain't lyin', no, I ain't lyin'
You know I can't stand it
    Your runnin' 'round
    You know better, daddy
I can't stand it, 'cause you put me down
    Yeah, yeah
I put a spell on you because you're mine
    You're mine
    Yeah, yeah, oh yeah
    Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do
I love you, I love you
I love you, I love you anyhow
And I don't care if you don't want me
    I'm yours right now
    Oh, you hear me
I put a spell on you
    Because you're mine

Aye I wanted it to be King Curtis as he's a cool mofo. Jerome Richardson seems most likely but there's no confirmation that's definitive which was quite common back then as session or studio guys often didn't get credited. Quite sad when you look at how legendary and talented a lot of them were.
It's not that well known that Glen Campbell was a monster session player before he made it solo.
Creedence do a great version of I put a Spell on you.
