He's a back line organiser, which Sakho never was.

Definitely looks like he’s been on the back end of a few lines of late.

I can see a situation where he signs up for £140k-180k per-week.

Think Syd & Sid have it about right.

    £140-160 per week.

Think Miller has it right too, if Konates not signing up then he's out.

Would rather players leave and everyone moves on than these protracted contract talks diminishing the club.

In reality the club is limited by earnings, whilst propping up the game financially. Under rules and spending constraints, there's only so much the club can do.

Fans in general want owners that are willing to blow tonnes of money on transfers & wages, in a game that has now brought in spending restrictions to combat owners spending money in that manner.

I'm talking about Guhei. He organises the Palace defence.

Liverpool are one of the top half dozen highest earning clubs in world football. We have sufficient funds to spend big. The problem is that the club's overlords do not want to use a sizeable amount of those funds to purchase the number and quality of players that we need.

His bargaining position will be much stronger if virgil goes in june. The club would then imo be more inclined to keep him as he inherits being 1st choice CB pick so to speak rather than sell him and buy 2 new CBs this summer. If virg stays i could though see konate being sold and us signing a RCB who then becomes the dominant 1st choice as virg departs.

I do think Virg will stay, but agree with what you're saying.

I'm curious to see how Slot utilises Gomez next season, if he stays. I don't think the right-back market is necessarily all that amazing right now, so I wonder if we will use Bradley/Gomez/Jones for right-back and invest in the left-back position rather than trying to address both flanks in one Summer - any decision on Gomez will have a knock-on effect on what happens at centre-back.

I can see that happening. Rather than buy a right back as dire t competition for Bradley it's much more likely they will utilise with jack of all trades players.
Usually it's not a bad thing but when you're losing the quality of Trent it's an issue for me, also it's a constant theme with the owners and at times ( this being one of them) I think it's detrimental to progress.
