    I mean, you could be right.

    Looking at the rules it seems clear that the three games suspension are usually violent conduct or serious foul play.
    Denial of goal-scoring opportunity seems to fall under the "professional foul" category which earns one or 2 games.


    Since most straight reds are usually issued for violent fouls or fouls deemed to endanger the health of the opposition player, I guess it leads to the assumption that any straight red (such as this was) would lead to the same length of suspension.

    I guess it will all depend on the referee's report, but yeah it might be one game and not the 3.

    Jones has been absolutely atrocious in this game.

    For the second time in as many sequences he lazily gives away the ball almost leading to a scoring opportunity and winner for Palace.
