When or if Wertz comes.. Jones will hardly play. which i find appeasing.. his game would suit the old italian football... so slow and you have all the time in the world to play..

Every single time he gets in the starting lineup he goes invsible and puts on these dross performances.
I just don't get it.

You'd think that being the scouser in the team (or one of the only two for the moment), he's the one who'd have most pride and a bit between the teeth about playing, but he just goes on these awful episodes of play and there's just no more making any more excuses for him.

I'd actually consider sending him out on loan instead of an Elliot, although he too has failed to live up to expectations and his potential.

Delighted Salah could equal the record - had opportunities over the last couple of games to beat it, but here we are.

Yeah, Villa got stitched right up by the officials and the VAR in their game against the Scum.

They should have expected it at that ground.
They drop to the Europa League, even though I think they should have been the ones to get the fifth spot.

I get the slight disappointment with the last 4 games and not winning any of em....Stevie Nicol called it on ESPN before the last 4 games took place(quote..'don't expect many victories').....I remember 1982/83....We didn't win ANY of the last 7 and still won it by 11 points...Psychologically we were on the beach....Job done!!...Delighted!...

I think we all know players like Jones.. he just a nice footballer...but you need more than that.. like you say GRIT. He plays like hes in the play ground one the nice ball players.. he dawdles on the ball way to often..

The problem with him is that he thinks he's a bigger baller than he actually is.

Most of his giveaways are from times he's dwadling on the ball too long while there's an easy pass or two to a teammate he overlooks and then he gets put under pressure and lazily or in a panic gives it away, or has it taken away from him.

He does have some skill on the ball and he's good in tight areas and getting out of them, but most of the time he's just misusing it all.
I'd have wanted for him to outgrow this but it seems he never will.

so there we have it season well and truly over.. good season number 20... we'll need to improve again next season.. but thats a long way off. lets enjoy the moment..
