A man has been detained after a road traffic collision at the Liverpool Premier League parade, Merseyside Police say

Local authorities say there are reports a car collided with a number of pedestrians on Water Street, near the city centre

Large crowds have been gathering on the streets for the last few hours to take part in the championship parade

It is not yet clear whether anyone has been injured and police have not provided further details
