I didn't want Man City to get Marmoush who has looked decent thus far, and I also don't want them buying Cherki who could be quite tasty if Guardiola doesn't insist on him becoming a system player at the cost of restricting his attacking instincts.

apparently Marmoush in on 300+ grand a week. Its a bizarre since we weren't interested in him previously. But seem to want to pay 350.000 a week to Wirtz (if thats actually true)

£113m bid home in now. Is that a British record fee if it happens?

Liverpool make new offer for Wirtz
Latest from Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol:
Liverpool have made a new offer worth a total of £113m for Florian Wirtz.
They have offered Bayer Leverkusen £100m plus £13m in potential add ons.
The offer is below Leverkusen’s asking price of £126m (€150m).
Wirtz wants to move to Liverpool.

£100m is the same fee City paid for Grealish, I’ll be very surprised if Wirtz doesn’t provide better value than him.

12 goals in 4 seasons I think it is for him.

    Pretty poor return that.

This is one instance where the fee isn't bothering me,it is a lot but it's an ambitious move from the club that we have to applaud, we can't complain.
I remember when we signed Nunez I think I had doubts and was unconvinced by him.
Not concerned at all about Wirtz and I'm looking forward to it. He's a player that could make a huge difference in certain games.

This is exactly how I see it.

To me, this is a proper upgrade to the first team.

It's got a Torres vibe about it for me. Having one of the best young players in the world wanting to sign for us.
That hasn't happened in a while.
