This one will be interesting. Being reported now that we have no intention of meeting the asking price for Wirtz. We expect Leverkusen to drop to our price. So last round of negotiations it seems. I'd expect a compromise at this stage.

If he was always going to sign and he only wants us, there wouldn't be a reason to pay £127m plus add-ons. We haven't bargained down, its actually gone up.

Frankly this is a huge risk for us, and i dont agree with it. We can't bench him like city did grealish.

Always the chance he gets injured, doesn't hit the ground running in epl or we get injuries elsewhere we couldn't strengthen due to this fee ie. CB

Sounds like the add-ons are delaying it.... probably over 5m...... not much when spending 100m...

Should've just got cherki and a striker imo, not in the position to splash the budget on one player when we need a striker CM LB CB (possibly 2)
